Hello - I'm Katie. I welcome clients of any background to work with me in a compassionate and non-judgmental environment. I work collaboratively with clients in treating concerns including anxiety, depression, relationship changes and difficulties, various life transitions and adjustments. Together we will build strategies to improve regulation of emotions, soothing and reducing anxiety, cultivate a clearer, more accurate view of self and repair and improve relationships.

Other specialty areas include working with symptoms of maladapative perfectionism, burnout, identity development and concerns faced by current and former athletes and student-athletes.

I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) in the state of Iowa; a Licensed Certified Social Worker in the state of South Dakota; and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of Minnesota. I graduated with a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Iowa; earned a Bachelor's in Psychology, minor in Family Studies from the University of Northern Iowa; and an Associate of Arts degree from Waldorf College where I played women's basketball. 

I’m a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the Alliance of Social Workers in Sport and the Eating Disorders Coalition of Iowa.
